Good morning, lovely dreamers, and welcome to another gift guide, here on the Dreaming of Butterflies blog!
Everyone knows that true geeks don’t need excuses to buy collectables, movie prop copies, or anything with a funny pun on it, just for the heck of it! #geeklife
Even if you usually are against social conventions, and you don’t fall victim to social pressure, and you love your other half every day, not just on special occasions, Valentine’s Day is coming up! A small attention will bring a smile to their faces, and you know it. So you will end up getting something anyway.
With Valentine’s Coming up, we thought “Why don’t we put together something fun and affordable?”
And of course, because we’re a couple of crazies, we’ve spent the last few days searching and searching for the cutest things out there that will definitely impress your loved one, and not just for Valentine’s, lovely dreamers. They go well for birthdays, Christmas, any other holiday, or “just because it’s Wednesday”.

The best part is that even if some of these look super expensive, they really are affordable, so you won’t have to kill your savings just to put a smile on your loved one’s face. Especially when you are in the middle of a “save 5K challenge” like we are right now (p.s. new article on that coming soon!).
But enough with the chit-chatting! Let’s get to it!
The Perfectly Geeky Valentines Day Gift Guide
Now, because we want some form of organization in this madness of a gift guide you’re about to read, we’re going for universes. Sound good?

1. For the Tolkien Geek
To be fair, we fell in love with Tolkien and the Lord of the Rings universe he created when we were around 12 years old, like many other boys and girls out there. It was mesmerizing!
Who doesn’t want to hold the one ring, at least once?
Or have a piece of one of the most beautiful love stories, through Arwen’s necklace?
Or have a beautifully framed map of Middle Earth and fantasize about travelling there? (btw, that would look great next to our Westeros and the Free Cities one and the Province of Skyrim that are hanging on our walls now.)
2. For the Game of Thrones obsessed
Even though the show ended not at all as we expected and wanted, it still gave us some great stuff to want to have. There are so many beautiful collectables and inspired art, that is kind of hard to choose from, but still, having three dragon eggs sounds amazing, doesn’t it?
Ideally, these replicas in the wooden box would make a great gift, but because that’s not in the budget this year, let’s settle for the candle version! As beautiful and as effective.
3. For the Witch and the Wizzard
For the Wizzard, how about this changing mug that opens the Marauder’s Map? Andy loves it!
And for the ladies, what about this super cute and magical makeup brush set?
4. For the Time Traveler
Lately, we’ve been obsessed with Doctor Who, and we started binge-watching the series again, so of course, we had to include something on this list.
This Dalek Clip-on Booklight will definitely “Exterminate!” the boredom of reading for exams, don’t you think?
Not to mention this Tardis Digital Projection Alarm Clock, that I am obsessed with (and hopefully get for Valentine’s Day!)
5. For the one In a Galaxy Far Far Away
When it comes to Star Wars, there’s really no need for excuses, but because May the 4th is a huge celebration anyway, AND my birthday, s0 for Valentine’s we want to keep it simple, with some inspired jewellery.
6. For the Superhero and Villain
From Marvel’s Iron Man to DC’s Wonder Woman, anything goes, but let’s not forget the villains, The Joker and Harley Quinn! Aren’t they just the cutest couple?
Speaking of Iron Man, this will definitely make your boo more active in the kitchen.
How about Thor’s hammer?
And for the DC fans out there, we have this cute Wonder Woman miniature great for any desk, and this beautiful Aquaman wallet.
7. For the melancolic
Oh, how we miss the old days! How romantic is the simple gesture of creating a mixtape for someone?
Bring this into 2019, and you get something beautiful!
And what about an album for all of your adventures, like the one in Up? (another one of the greatest love stories ever!)
Bonus!
Can’t have Valentine’s without two important points:
The chocolate…
… and of course, the cards!
And that’s all for today, lovely dreamers! Now you’re all set for Valentine’s Day, birthday, or any other day.
If you liked it, don’t forget to share it, pin it, tweet it!
