10 Totally FREE Valentine’s Day Gifts your loved one REALLY wants

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, lovely dreamers, and today we’re telling you the 10 totally FREE Valentine’s Day Gifts your partner (in crime and life) will appreciate for REAL. Perfect for those of you that are on a budget, or that want something more this year, but without spending big bucks!

First things first. Confession time.

Andy and I, being Maya, have been together for a little more than 5 years now, and on the looooooong list of things we have in common, there’s one little thing – we both hated Valentine’s Day since the dawn of time.

Now, before you go all crazy and dramatic and say “then why the hell are you telling me about Valentine’s Day gifts?”, let me clarify. We don’t hate the day for what it is, but for what others make it – an excuse to buy the kitschiest and most unnecessary things out there, and (in the case of some) to hook up for just one day so you won’t spend it alone and be viewed as pathetic.

Valentine’s Day should not be the only day you show your feelings, it’s not like you love more on that day than any other. But that still doesn’t mean that you can’t do something to surprise your loved one.

Being on a tight budget can screw plans up a lot, so we got creative with our celebrations over the years, and from all the crazy things we’ve done, we made today’s top 10, just for you!

But enough with the chit-chatting! Let’s get to it!

10 Totally FREE Valentine’s Day Gifts your loved one REALLY wants

1. Clean the house

I know this sounds crazy but stay with me for a sec. For some people, like me, if they are the ones doing most of the housekeeping – from grocery shopping, cooking to cleaning and organizing the house at least 3 times a week, having a break from all that is the perfect gift.

You don’t have to go all out and crazy and move the furniture around an clean every little corner of the house, you can stick to just washing the dishes and putting them in their place, vacuuming and tidying a bit.

2. Cook something

Instead of going out and spending too much on a dinner in a place that might be too crowded and noisy, why not cook something together this Valentine’s and enjoy each other’s company? It’s waaay cheaper, and it can get really sexy, really fast.

Or maybe just one of you cooks and surprises the other. That’s a big win as well, trust me!

3. Massage each other

As a form of relaxation and another reason to have your hands on each other, you might want to think of giving each other massages. Just think about it: candles, lavender smell in the air, your oily bodies relaxing…

That’s the start of something special.

4. Netflix and chill

Or whatever you want to call it. Put on a movie, make some popcorn, cuddle under a warm blanket and enjoy. If you’re one of those couples who works a lot and is always in stress mode, this is another perfect way of disconnecting, at least for a couple of hours.

5. Surprise each other

This is the part where you do something for your significant other, that he or she might not expect you to do, at least not now. I’m not talking in you dressing up as a magician and doing tricks (unless that exactly what you should do!), I’m talking about that little something that only you can do.

From composing and singing a song, to putting together a photo album of all your adventures together, there are many things you can do to surprise each other, without having to spend money at all. Just let your imagination fly!

6. Game night

Want something more from your date tonight? Because you’re a geeky couple that can’t and won’t fit into the mass hysteria of Valentine’s, why not make it a game night? Get your comfy gear on, and choose your weapons, and then log on and do some damage together!

Ah, the rush you get after a victory in the Nexus!

7. Midnight picnic

This is something I’m personally crazy about. Creating a magical setting with fairy lights, some candles, a blanket in the middle of the living room, or the bed, if you live in a studio apartment and don’t have an actual living room.

You don’t even have to stress about cooking something extra fancy, think of simple things, like hot dogs, sandwiches, fruits. Yum!

8. Bring sexy back!

One of the best things you can do for your Valentine is to dance for him/her! It’s fun, it’s intimate, it gets your blood flowing… And your other stuff going, if you know what I mean.

You don’t have to strip all down if you don’t want to. For inspiration, I always listen to the queen, Beyonce. Then, I just let the rhythm guide me.

9. Marvin Gaye and get it on

Sometimes, the simplest solution is the best. If you’re super restricted by budget and time, or for whatever reason, keep it basic. Don’t overcomplicate things.

Light some scented candles, make the bed, turn off your phones and other distractions, put on some Marvin Gaye, or whatever starts your engines and just get it on.

10. Get kinky!

In other words… bondage, toys, edible undies, and whatever else your kinky mind cooks up! Just let that sex beast inside you run the show for a night. And as long as you’re both into it, I guarantee you’ll have a great time!

Aaaand that’s all for today, lovely dreamers! We hope you enjoyed our list of free Valentine’s Day gifts, and if you did, don’t forget to share it, pin it, tweet it! We won’t stop you!
