What millennial doesn’t just love a great backpack to store all her/his stuff in and also look awesome? Or maybe you’re a person who just loves to travel and needs a nice backpack to carry everything you need for a day trip? We hear you! Today we’re doing a Bagail backpack review just for you!
Before we get any further, you need to know that we got this Bagail backpack we will be “dissecting” today for review, at the courtesy of the guys and gals at Bagail, but this article is our 100% honest review, like always.
The fun thing is that we got this opportunity to review this backpack exactly when I, being Maya, was in dire need of a change when it came to the bags in my life. I wanted a nice backpack for so long, but because I’m very very very picky and won’t spend my hard earned money on just anything, but the things I really want and also need (of course), I still haven’t bought a backpack.
This is where Bagail comes into play!
But enough with the chit-chatting! Let’s get to it!
Bagail backpack review
Who are Bagail?
As they put it on their About Us page, they are a “China wholesale Online Shop with Diverse & High-Quality Products”. On the first look on their site, it looks like you would expect, from a Chinese wholesale site. Not too perfect, but not too sloppy at the same time, and funny and crazy long product names – that usually contain every keyword they could think of.
They have a great range of products on their site, even if they like to focus on travel bags. They also showcase and sell bags and backpacks, for both men and women, shoe bags, gym bags and accessories like umbrellas ( OMG ho cute is this one! – and btw, I usually hate umbrellas).
After reading more from their Shipping Guide about how they handle deliveries and returns and all that, I must say that I like that they are frank and say from the get-go that they do not accept returns (even though that’s kind of bad), that their bags are not trademarked, and I give them a big thumbs up for the fact that they are honest about the simple packaging from shipping.
The Bagail Backpack – First impressions:
Before I tell you how I felt the first time I saw it, I must say something relatively important. They contacted us for a collaboration almost at the end of November, and since then we’ve been waiting for the backpack to arrive (and frankly even forgot about it).
We got it only last week, via our neighbor who actually received it first, hehe. The representative from Bagail assured us that it usually doesn’t take more than 15 days for the bag to arrive, but they had a 10-day delay in the delivery. Oh, well – it’s here now.
So let’s get back to the review. First impressions: simple packaging, as expected. After opening, we saw the backpack. As design and feel, we both absolutely love it! The only things I don’t like about it are the golden parts because I’m more of a silver/white gold/platinum kind of chick, but hey – not their fault they didn’t know that.
Also, as an important note, the golden bits don’t even match each other – the zippers are really yellowy while the parts on the straps are almost like rose gold, so that’s kind of weird and gives that “cheap” vibe if you know what I mean.
The backpack’s design is good, is made from some sort of leather – we even got this tag that the leather products have, and it is not too big, not too small, just perfect. It has one pocket in the front, one in the back, and a hidden one on the inside, which is pretty cool.
Fun fact about this bag: Inside you can easily put 2 kg of medium to large oranges and 500g of clementines, and also have in there your keys, big headphones, wallet, phone – all only on the interior, without using the exterior pockets (and still have some wiggle room). Impressive!
Pro’s of the bag: During the week, we tested this bag in different situations, from shopping to how well it can hold my camera gear, and so far it’s been good.
On the downside, like I’ve mentioned before, the gold from the zipper does not quite match the golden from the straps, and as a note for them, guys, that’s not good. Stick to the simple silver the next time, or better yet, go fully black, why not?
Overall, it’s a good backpack and it’s useful. Not the design I would normally go for, and it has that little flaw of the golden not matching, but it’s nice to get out of your comfort zone from time to time. That’s how you improve.
Where to find backpacks like this one?
On their official site, bagail.com, of course! And like I’ve said before, they have lots of designs to choose from, from the girly ones like these to the perfect backpacks for any bad boy (who’s secretly a good guy). Prices for backpacks vary from as little as 6,99$ to 199,99$, for this large men’s backpack (that is kind of a mutant between a messenger bag and a backpack).
Unfortunately, none of us could find the backpack they sent us for review nowhere on the site, so we can have a clear idea of its price, but by the looks of it, it’s somewhere between 25$ and 35(ish)$. What’s up with that? Maybe it’s just a new product or something.
Will we ever buy something from them?
That’s the real question, isn’t it? Frankly, maybe we will, sometime in the future. They have some interesting designs on there, and the prices are affordable, so why not? But we’ll make sure to stick to simple designs, and with no golden bits, haha.
Aaaand, that’s all for today folks! If you liked it, don’t forget to share it, pin it, tweet it! As always, we won’t mind!
Our question for you is: How does your favorite backpack look like?
